About the Angel's Walk
The Caravello family was inspired by longtime Dystonia advocates Janice and Len Nachbar, and their daughter Joanna Manusov who passed away in 2021.
Throughout her life, Joanna continuously worked to increase awareness and raise funds for research. Parts of her body were painfully contorted by dystonia and as the disorder progressed, she lost her ability to speak, to eat, to walk, and to use her hands. Joanna’s mission was to spread more awareness to this crippling disease.
The Caravello Family created the Angels Walk in Joanna’s memory and in honor of all those who struggle with dystonia.
We ask that you consider supporting this event as a sponsor or in-kind donor. Your generous gift can help bring awareness in New Jersey and the tristate area to offer a better path for research to lead to more accurate diagnosis, better treatments, and hopefully a cure for better quality of life for those impacted by this challenging movement disorder.
